With liquidity improvements to the swapping experience, extended support for Multi-Purpose Tokens (MPTs), and the support for Permissioned Domains, this release strengthens both day-to-day usability and adds support for what’s coming next.
The Exchange function within Xaman now takes Automated Market Maker (AMM) liquidity into account when showing swap rates on XRPL.
This means more accurate pricing and a better reflection of real liquidity when trading tokens. This means your quotes now take both AMM and DEX liquidity into account, resulting in a very precise quote, eliminating the incorrect display of potential slippage. Enabling exchange even only when AMM liquidity is present.
Added in Xaman 4.3.0 Multi-Purpose Tokens (MPTs) are a new form of fungible token on the XRP Ledger, designed to be simpler, and more flexible than the older trust line model. Added by the MPTokensV1 amendment (enabled October 1, 2025), MPTs bring tokenization on XRPL into a more modern form that’s ready for DeFi and institutional use cases.
MPTs at a glance:
Each issuance has its own unique identifier and metadata, which the ledger enforces automatically. This makes MPTs a flexible building block for tokenization and DeFi without the legacy edge cases of trust line tokens.
MPTs were first introduced in version 4.3.0, and 4.4.0 brings them directly to the home screen.
You can now view MPTs held and their respective balances at a glance, send MPTs with fewer steps, just like any other asset and remove them when the specific MPT balance is zero. Several fixes also improve how MPTs are displayed and sent, making token management more reliable and straightforward.
Xaman 4.4.0 introduces support for the Permissioned Domains (XLS-80) amendment.
Permissioned Domains are an early building block for upcoming XRPL DeFi primitives, laying the groundwork for more advanced functionality in the future.
You can now see owned domains in the Events tab and use the new Set/Delete transaction types. This amendment is not yet enabled on XRPL Mainnet, but with this update Xaman is already prepared. The moment it becomes active, your wallet will instantly be ready to support it. (Currently only in developer mode, on Devnet, where XLS80 is active)
Alongside these headline features, 4.4.0 includes dozens of refinements: better alignment of onboarding on smaller screens, improvements to Deposit Preauth, a slimmer header with more screen space, enhanced dark mode visuals, and fixes for rare MPT and account import bugs.
These may be subtle, but together they make Xaman smoother and more consistent across all devices.
Xaman 4.4.0 pushes token support further and starts preparing for the next stage of XRPL DeFi. The coming releases will build directly on these features, opening the door to more powerful tools and next-gen xApps.
Update to Xaman 4.4.0 today and experience the difference. Your feedback shapes the future of Xaman, and we can’t wait to hear what you think.
