But there’s always been one sticking point: trustlines.
To send someone an issued asset, they first had to create a trustline. For new users, that step often felt confusing or frustrating. For issuers and projects, it meant adoption friction, failed transactions, and missed opportunities.
That changes today.
With the latest Xaman 4.2.1 release, we’re removing one of the biggest hurdles in the token ecosystem.
Now, when you try to send an issued asset to someone who doesn’t yet have a trustline, Xaman won’t stop you. Instead, it will offer you powerful new options:
On XRPL: Send as a Check. The recipient will see a “Cash Check” button when they’re ready to accept, automatically setting up the trustline for the end user. Sending tokens as checks will have a 0.2XRP reserve fee that the XRP Ledger charges for this payment type.
That 0.2XRP reserve is freed up on the sender account if the receiver accepts the check, the offer is cancelled, or if the receiver declines the check.
In other words: sending tokens just works.

This isn’t a small tweak. This is a fundamental leap forward for tokens on XRPL.
For users, the experience becomes as seamless as sending XRP itself. For issuers, it unlocks a new wave of possibilities.
This release doesn’t stop at token transfers. We’re also rolling out:
Together, these updates bring a more powerful, versatile, and user-friendly XRPL to life.
We believe this update will make the token ecosystem finally get the love it deserves. Issuers have been asking for this for years, and now it’s finally here: sending, gifting, and distributing tokens on XRPL and Xahau just got one big step closer to mass adoption.
This is more than a feature. It’s a milestone.
Update to the 4.2.1 version of Xaman now and experience the future of token transfers for yourself.
Update now via the App Store or Google Play and try it for yourself.
Your feedback is what keeps driving us forward!
